When the keys are inside the passenger area
A common lockout is simple: the doors are locked and the keys are still in the cabin. They may be on a seat, in a cupholder, inside a bag, or somewhere you can see through the glass. When you call, tell us whether the keys are visible and whether the vehicle is running.
Have the make, model, and approximate year ready if you know them. Different door, window, and electronic-lock designs can change the approach, so vehicle information is more useful than trying to describe the lock itself.
What to tell us about your location
Give the most precise location you can: a street address, parking lot, garage level, business name, cross street, or nearby landmark. If you are near I-95, Okeechobee Boulevard, Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, or another major corridor, include your direction of travel and the closest safe reference point.
If the keys are somewhere else
If the keys are specifically locked in the trunk, see our car trunk lockout page. If a smart key or proximity fob is involved, our key fob lockout page explains the details that are useful when you call.
